Draughtsman
Key Responsibilities:
Job Role:
Creating manufacture/repair drawings of bearings and other gas turbine parts in accordance with customer specifications and assisting the Service and Repair team in ensuring that customers products are refurbished in accordance with customer specifications and company standards considering current manufacturing methods.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing basic engineering drawings from supplied information, proficiently using our company’s 3D design software, and managing our in-house PDM software
- Creation of part records, storage, and verification of customer-supplied drawings
- Reverse engineer of existing products, using available inspection equipment
- Able to identify and select the correct drawings for customer orders from the in-house PDM software
- Provide technical and engineering design support for products in the Osborne Group Product lines, including but not limited to bearings, seals, fuel system components and technical training in accordance with customer requirements.
- Offsite travels for engineering surveys of bearings and technical presentations and discussions to rotating equipment engineers.
- Implement process changes to increase productivity and aid in the development of new systems and processes within the engineering department.
- To ensure all work/tasks/procedures/documentation meet the requirements of ISO 9001
Qualifications/Skills:
- Proficiency in preparing engineering drawings.
- Proficiency in working with 3D design software.
- Experience with Product Data Management software.
- Ability to reverse engineer existing products.
- Excellent communication skills to request necessary information from customers.
- Knowledge and experience in providing technical and engineering design support.
- Willingness to travel for engineering surveys and technical presentations.
- Experience in implementing process changes and development of new systems within an engineering department.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 requirements.
Experience:
- Draughtsman: 3 years (Preferred)
