Members of a team need to appreciate how their behaviour impacts the success of a team and that mutual respect and support is essential. They need to establish group norms and rules of behaviour. They need to be prepared to be flexible and supportive, taking on extra jobs if necessary and helping others. In a well-functioning and high-performance team, it is the team’s goals that are most important.
